We bought these when another brand wasn’t available to us in our area (not knowing much about the company). Not having a car, we needed any choice we made to be inflatable, offer us options for use (as these were our first SUPs) and give us all of the materials we needed and easily carried.
After quite a bit of review, we bought two boards (powermax 10’8″ and 12’6). We used them quite a bit in the first two months we’ve had them. They are durable. A few times, we’ve bounced them against rocks and piers, with no issue. People who have used them have noted how surprised they are at the firmness of the boards, even in waves. (And I’ve only filled them to 15lb, when they are suggested to 18lb and more.
If you don’t imagine that you need the 12′ to carry anything or for weight needs, I’d probably pick the 10’8″. since it’s a bit lighter. Our plan is that we can carry additional equipment (cooler and other items) on the larger board.
